LindaFaye Ruth Clyne was born on December 6, 1948, in New Ulm to Martin and Ruth (Guendner) Clyne. Growing up in New Ulm, Linda graduated from New Ulm High School with the Class of 1966. Soon after graduation, she began working in the kitchen at Highland Manor in New Ulm. She later spent many years working for Windings and later at Dittrich Specialties of New Ulm, where she formed lasting friendships with her coworkers and was known for her strong work ethic. Linda possessed a wonderful sense of humor and found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed listening to old-time music and could often be found relaxing with a favorite classic television show, Gunsmoke. She faithfully kept up with local happenings by reading The Journal and took great pride in her hometown. She also enjoyed seeing New Ulm’s history on the local Facebook group, New Ulm Now and Then. Linda especially looked forward to celebrating New Ulm's cherished traditions, including Oktoberfest, Bavarian Blast, community concerts, and local ballgames. She also found great enjoyment in listening to the Concord Singers perform.
A devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Linda's faith remained an important part of her life and provided her with strength and comfort throughout the years. Although Linda never married, family was always close to her heart. She treasured the opportunity to stay connected with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, taking a true interest in their lives, milestones, and activities. She celebrated their accomplishments, shared in their joys, and was always grateful for the time spent together.
Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, cheerful sense of humor, steadfast faith, and the love she had for her family, friends, and the New Ulm community she was proud to call home. Her gentle spirit and the many memories she created with those who knew and loved her will be cherished for years to come. Blessed be her memory.
