Loren Dale Johnson, age 85 died peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Saint John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral service will be 2 pm on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home- South Chapel in New Ulm with Chaplain Noel Wetter officiating.
Burial will take place at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Mahtomedi at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:00 pm on Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home- South Chapel in New Ulm.

Loren is survived by his daughters Dawn (Brian) Kloos and Darla (Troy) Hanson; sons Daron (Karen) and Delroy; step-daughters Teresa (Brad) Dahl, Lisa (Todd) Knudsvig, Christina, and Shannon (Dan) Lindquist; grandchildren Nate (Amanda), LeeAnn (Josh), Jamie (Tyler), and Joe (Kasey); step-grandchildren Sabrina (James), Aaron, Gabby (Jake), Garrett, Elizabeth, EmilyGrace, and Christopher; great grandchildren Tayden, Coley, Emma, Kenzie, Aubrey, Ava, Kailey, and Addison; step-great grandchild Jay Bennett and Wesley; sisters Gloria, Judy, Joyce; sister-in-law Nancy; and first wife Vicky Killinghamm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeannie, sister Eloise, brother Allan, and brother-in-laws Robert, David, and Dennis.
Loren Dale Johnson was born June 7, 1939, to Roy and Marcella (Lubenow) Johnson in Ceylon, Minnesota. He grew up in Comfrey, Minnesota. While living in Gaylord, Loren and his wife Vicky Intlekofer were united in marriage on October 7, 1962. Their union blessed them with four children. Loren worked as an auto body tech painting cars and fixing dents at Poquette Chevrolet in Gaylord. Later in life while working at Burlington Northern Railroad, Loren met his second wife, Jeannie Prudhon; they were married on December 31, 1984. This union extended Loren's family with four step-daughters. Loren was an outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter and fisher and loved to camp. He enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning food. Loren also liked the challenge of solving word finds. At the nursing home, Loren was fond of coloring to help pass time. What Loren loved most was spending time with his family. Blessed be his memory.
