Lorraine "Babe" Haberman, 92, of New Ulm died Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter and Father Clayton Haberman celebrating the Mass. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Heron Lake. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. Monday and from 7:30 – 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. The Christian Mother's will pray the rosary at 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral.
Lorrine is survived by her husband, Marvin Haberman of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Gehl of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, Ken Haberman and Sharon Paradise of St. Paul; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Ben Vanderhiden of Alexandria, Father Clayton Haberman of Faribault; sisters-in-law, Emily Kunz of Madelia, Marilyn Rogers of Osage, Iowa, Maxine Luft of LeCrescent, Mary Leopold of Heron Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Adeline (Earl) Fladmo, Dorothy Vanderhiden; brothers, Art (Bea) Kunz, Clair Kunz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Edna Haberman, Robert and Betty Shea, Jay and Helene Mirnoski, Paul and Verna Shaffer, Lenny Leopold, Ned Luft, Clair and Bernice Haberman, Amos Shaffer, and Marvin Rogers.
Lorraine Agnes Kunz was born on October 7, 1922 in Madelia to Jake and Mary (Lassas) Kunz. On April 24, 1946 she was united in marriage to Marvin Haberman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia. Lorraine worked at Kraft Foods in New Ulm for eighteen years. She enjoyed golfing, square dancing, and playing bingo. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, and the Christian Mother's Society. www.mvfh.org
