Mark M. Domeier, 59, of New Ulm died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at his home in New Ulm.

A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-NORTH CHAPEL with Reverend Lisa Doege officiating. There will be an afterglow celebration of life service at 6 p.m. Friday evening at Kegel Lanes.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mark is survived by his wife Joan Domeier of New Ulm; daughter Adrienne Domeier of Mankato; son Travis Domeier of Mankato; grandchildren Quinn and Roen Domeier; mother Mary Domeier of New Ulm; sisters Ruth Hubbard of McHenry, Illinois, Barbara (Russ) Stafford of Terre Haute, Indiana; and brother John Domeier of Mankato.
He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Domeier.

Mark was born January 8, 1955 to Marvin and Mary (Kienlen) Domeier in New Ulm. He married Joan Zuhlsdorf on May 24, 1991 in New Ulm. Mark worked in the fields of construction and plumbing his entire career. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Schanus Plumbing and Heating of New Ulm. Besides being a dedicated, hardworking man, Mark was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time on his motorcycles. He was also an avid billiards enthusiast playing in a variety of pool leagues over the years. He loved to investigate how things worked and could fix almost anything. He will affectionately be known and remembered as a "handyman" and will forever be missed.
