Mark Schneider, 60, of New Ulm died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in New Ulm after a battle with depression. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Grant Bode officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday.
Mark is survived by his wife, Pat Schneider of New Ulm; daughters, Marja (Dan) Sowers of Mayer, Amy Schneider (Brady Gulden) of Minneapolis, Emily Schneider (Josh Boelter) of New Ulm; mother, Myrtle Schneider of Detroit Lakes; sister, Julie (Mark) Glawe of Detroit Lakes; brothers, David (Janine) Schneider of Detroit Lakes, Richard (Mary) Schneider of Sarasota Springs, New York. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mark Steven Schneider was born on October 20, 1953 in Detroit Lakes to Richard and Myrtle (Miller) Schneider. On May 20, 1977 he was united in marriage to Patricia Wozniak in Detroit Lakes. Mark worked as a photographer at Norwood (BIC) in Sleepy Eye and Lifetouch in New Ulm. He also worked at Walgreens in New Ulm as a photo technician and then at the New Ulm Shopper in sales. Mark enjoyed fishing, playing tennis, camping, bonfires, running and attending sporting events of his daughters. He loved his family very much. Mark was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
