Marlene Marti, age 72, of New Ulm passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at her home in New Ulm.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Ron Marti; daughter, Michelle Johnson; sons, Michael (Amy) Marti; grandchildren, TJ (Natalie) Brown, Jenna Fischer, Isabelle Fischer, John Marti; great-grandchildren, Olivia Brown, Jacie Fischer; sister, Kathleen Eckstrand (Ken Hauser); brothers, Bruce (Debra) Anderson, Terry (Sandy) Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-infancy, Violet.

Marlene Mae Anderson was born February 6, 1952 to Henry and Ada Rose (Nichols) Anderson in New Ulm. She graduated from New Ulm High School and attended college. On April 4, 1992, Marlene was united in marriage to Ron Marti in Nashua, Iowa. Marlene helped provide for her family by working at Kraft Foods in New Ulm. In addition to working and being a mother, Marlene lead a very active social life. She enjoyed reading, volunteering, yoga with her gym buddies, 4-wheeling with her family, and vacations with her daughter and grandkids. Marlene especially enjoyed all the time she was able to spend with her family and close friends. Although Marlene's time with us was not as long as we preferred, her memories will continue to live on with us forever. Blessed be her memory.
