Mary is survived by her daughters, Denise (Marshall) Mailey of Spokane, Washington, Shannon (Larry) Krueger of Lafayette, her grandchildren, Tyler (Naomi) Adams of Yakima, Washington, Zachary (Chelsea) Adams of Spokane, Washington, Johnathan Krueger of Eagle Lake, Noah Krueger of Lafayette; and her great-grandchildren, Tatayana, Lucien, Lorelai, Ashlyn, and Jamisen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Healy; her infant brother, James, and brother, Linus Plautz.
Mary Ann Plautz was born June 16, 1944, in New Ulm to Otto and Augusta (Reinarts) Plautz. Growing up in New Ulm, Mary was a 1962 graduate from New Ulm High School. Soon after high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Army where she proudly served her country as a nurse stationed in Germany during the time of the Vietnam War. After her years in the service, Mary was able to continue to serve as a nurse working for over forty years for the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Homes in Lafayette, and later Winthrop. Mary was united in marriage to Richard Healy on June 30, 1973, in New Ulm. This union blessed the couple with two daughters whom together they raised in New Ulm. When Mary wasn't working, she enjoyed cheering for her Minnesota Vikings. As a devoted mother and grandmother, what brought her the most joy (besides watching the Vikings win), was time she got to spend with her family. She cherished every moment she got to spend with her family, and especially loved getting to see her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Blessed be her memory.
