Mary J. Mack, age 74, of New Ulm, died Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the New Ulm City Cemetery, with Pastor Dennis Bachman officiating.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Maralee (Dennis) Bachman of Charles City, IA and Cary (Steve) Meyer of Courtland; sons, Larry (Jill Kalz) Mack of New Ulm and Travis (Barbara) Mack of Burtrum; four grandchildren, Chase (Greta) Meyer, Brayden Mack, Brenden Mack, and Brogan Mack; great-grandchildren, Robert Meyer and Jane Meyer; sister, Lynn (Dave) Martinka of New Ulm; brother, John (Diane) Schwartz of North Mankato; and a niece, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, David Schwartz.

Mary Jo Schwartz was born on May 6, 1950 in Slayton, MN to George & Lucy (Newell) Schwartz. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1968. Mary then attended cosmetology school in Fairmont. She worked as a hair stylist in the New Ulm community for 40 years. Mary enjoyed spending time outdoors and being active in the Narren of New Ulm. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and her pets.
