Michael "Mike" Jeremy Hacker, age 46 of New Ulm died on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Mayo Clinic Health System-St. Mary's Campus in Rochester.

A celebration of life service will take place at 11a m on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-South Chapel in New Ulm.  Pastor Bob Miner will officiate, and ennichement will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery Columbarium.

Visitation will be from 9-11 am on Saturday, September 24 ^th at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-South Chapel.

Mike is survived by his son, Presley Hacker of New Ulm; his cat, Walter; his mother, Brenda (Ernie) Camacho of New Ulm; his father, Michael "Mike" (Karmin) Hacker of Rapid City, South Dakota; his sisters, Heather (Josh) Hemingway of Fargo, North Dakota, Angela "Angie" Hacker of Elk Grove, California; his brother, Travis "Teejay" Hacker of St. Paul; his brother, Colten Camacho of New Ulm; his nieces, Piper, Kasey, Cassidy, Aliyah (Justin-fiancée), Tayla, Tatyana, Natalie; his nephew, Shawn; great-nieces, Madison and Savannah; and many other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dorothy (Domeier) Pfeiffer and Walter Pfeiffer; and his paternal grandparents, Veronica (Stadick) Hacker and Marvin Hacker, and paternal step-grandmother Dorothy (Steffel) Hacker.

Michael Jeremy Hacker was born March 26, 1976, in New Ulm to Michael and Brenda (Pfeiffer) Hacker. Growing up on a farm in Lafayette before later moving to New Ulm, Mike attended grade school in New Ulm at St. Mary's and Holy Trinity Middle School and was a 1994 graduate from New Ulm High School. After graduation, Mike worked at Enterprise, Jensen Motors, Kraft Foods, and Joni's Catering, but it was important to him to go live in other places and see different parts of the country. He lived in Fargo, North Dakota by his sister and brother-in-law, on a horse ranch in Flagstaff, Arizona, in upstate rural New York, and in northern California where he had the great pleasure of being with his sister and nieces. After his many "adventures", Mike returned to Minnesota and eventually settled in New Ulm where he was blessed with the joy of becoming a father.  After many years of being the best uncle ever to his nieces and nephew, he had the opportunity to be a devoted full-time father to his son Presley, who was his greatest love and accomplishment. Presley was his life. Mike had an unapologetic fun-loving, adventurous spirit, and was known for his amazing sense of humor.  His presence would fill a room with personality, love, and laughter.  He took pride in the work he was able to do, but what he enjoyed most in life was time he spent with his family, friends, and his son.  Although he was taken from us all far too soon, countless memories of the good times had will forever stay in the hearts and minds of those who knew him best.  Blessed be those memories.
