Mike is survived by his sister, Theresa (Mike) Schuckert of Courtland; his brothers, Tony Klossner of Lafayette, Leonard (Jean Turbes) Klossner of Lafayette, Norbert (Sue) Klossner of New Ulm, Charles (Darla) Klossner of North Mankato, Herbert (Linda) Klossner of New Ulm; and his niece, and 8 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister Mary; and his brother, Richard Klossner.
Michael Hugo Klossner was born September 24, 1949, in New Ulm to Hugo and Loretta (Hanslick) Klossner. He grew up on his family's farm near Lafayette, and was a 1969 graduate from New Ulm High School. Mike proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served from 1970-73 stationed in Germany where he worked as a mechanic. Upon his honorable discharge, Mike came back home where he worked with his family farming their land. Farming and Case IH equipment were always a big part of his life, and stayed dear to his heart until the end. Mike later worked at the New Ulm American Legion, Hewitt Docks and Lifts in Nicollet, Bloedel Monument in New Ulm, and Del Monte in Sleepy Eye. He was a proud member of the New Ulm American Legion as well as the Catholic Church. Although Mike's time on earth seemed too short, countless cherished memories of his quiet gentle demeanor will forever stay in the hearts and minds of all who had the honor of having him in their lives. Blessed be his memories.
A special thank you is extended from Mike's family to the Allina Hospice Staff, the Allina Oncology Team, as well as the staff of care givers at the Beacon at Lake Crystal.
