Michael McFarland, age 62, of New Ulm passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at his home in New Ulm.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – North Chapel in New Ulm.

Michael is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Angela McFarland; biological mother, Diane Langhoff of Wisconsin; daughters, Ariel (Matt) Schmitz of Zimmerman, Chelsey (Shawn) Ryan of New Ulm, Melissa (Tony) Rankin of Redwing; sons, Ian McFarland of New Ulm, Sean (LeAnn) McFarland of New Ulm; grandchildren, Baron, Angel, Kaelie, Marek; one grandchild on the way, Jaxson; sister, Marie McFarland of Lake Crystal; half-sisters, Barbara Grabowski of Wisconsin, Patty (Ray) Ice of Florida, Susan (Walter) Wholly of Wisconsin; half-brothers, Ernest (Kris) Grabowski of Wisconsin, Darrin (Dimity) Grabowski of Wisconsin, Greg (Dawn) Grabowski; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents.
Michael Merlin McFarland was born September 12, 1960 to Diane Langhoff in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was adopted by Harry and Myra (Rohde) McFarland and relocated to New Ulm. Mike attended New Ulm High School and earned his GED. He then began working at Bordens, now Firmenich, for 13 years and then worked for 25 years at Jackpot in surveillance.
On August 16, 1986, Mike was united in marriage to Angela DeLeo in New Ulm. The couple resided and raised their family in New Ulm. In his free time, Mike loved going to auctions and rummage sales, as well as making trips to casinos. Above all else, Mike treasured all the time he was able to spend with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
