Patrick Zins, age 70, of Nicollet passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Homestead Hospice in Owatonna.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet. Father Craig Timmermann will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in rural Nicollet where the Nicollet Honor Guard will provide full military honors. Following the committal service at the cemetery, there will be a luncheon provided back at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet, with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 p.m. The visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet.

Patrick is survived by his sisters, Martha Lee Zins of Minnetonka, Mary Zins Holt of Deephaven, Jane Zins of Deephaven; brothers, Michael (Barb) Zins of Cologne, Samuel (Jerilyn Clark) Zins of Montgomery, Jacob (Cyndi Jo) Zins of Nicollet; special friends, Dave, Peggy, Travis, and Stacey Otto; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Rocky Holt.
Patrick John Zins was born in Nicollet on November 23, 1951 to Hubert and Rose Marie (Johannes) Zins. He graduated from Nicollet Public High School in 1969 and enlisted in the United States Navy. Patrick served from 1971 to 1973 and toured in Vietnam. After his service, Patrick made his career installing phones and computer systems. In his free time, Patrick enjoyed going hunting, investing, and watching sports, especially the Twins and Vikings. He was one of the director of the Nicollet Conservation Club, as well as the secretary for many years. Patrick was also a 20-year member of the Nicollet Fire Department, treasurer of the Firemen's Relief Association, member of Gaylord, MN Investment Clubs, Catholic Order of Foresters, and a lector, sacristan, and committee member at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet. Patrick will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
Special thanks to his medical professionals in New Ulm, including Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, and all who remember him in their prayers.
