He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Juliette Weber; and many extended family.

Peter Delmont Nelson was born May 14, 1969 to Wayne and Patricia (Hanson) Nelson in New Ulm. From birth, Pete shared a special lifelong bond with his twin brother, Patrick. The two graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1987 and enlisted in the Army National Guard together on the same day. Pete later worked as a laborer, where his dependable and hardworking nature provided for both himself and his loving family.

On November 16, 1991, Pete married Jackie Weber in New Ulm. Together they built a life centered around family and were blessed with two daughters and grandkids. Pete loved his family deeply and was incredibly proud of all they accomplished.

Pete was very intelligent, organized, and incredibly sentimental. He served as the family budget keeper and had a special habit of keeping calendars where he recorded the events of each day, preserving both important milestones and everyday memories. He also took great pride in caring for his farm and home and was meticulous about keeping everything neat and orderly, especially his yard and wood pile.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Pete enjoyed spending time outdoors and appreciated the simple things in life. Above all, he was a good-hearted man of strong faith who cared deeply for those around him. His love for his family, thoughtful nature, and the memories he created will be cherished by all who knew him. Pete will be dearly missed. Blessed be his memory.
