Randall Allen Harder was born December 24, 1965 to Roger and Karen (Bowen) Harder in New Ulm. He graduated from high school and went on to Yankton University in South Dakota before transferring to Southwest State University to complete his degree. As a teenager, Randy worked at the Starlite Drive-In movie theatre. He started his radio career at KNUJ in New Ulm and ended at the Fan radio network as a news and sports director, with many other radio stations in between. He also did play-by-play for MSU's Men's Hockey, as well as a public address announcer for Gustavus Adolphus College and play-by-play for Loyola Boys Basketball. After health issues, which forced him into retirement, he worked at Kwik Trip making donuts and cashiering. Outside of work, he enjoyed golf, wrestling, watching his nieces and nephews in all their activities, attending concerts - especially his favorite band KISS, watching the Johnny Carson Show - which sparked his interest in radio, watching MN sports, and spending time with his family. Family meant a lot to him and he loved all his nieces, nephews, and great-nephews and nieces so much. Randy will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
