Obituary

Randyn Groebner, 27, of New Ulm died Saturday, February 15, 2014 in New Ulm as a result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday, February 19, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Grant Bode officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Tuesday and 7:30 – 8:30 AM Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Wednesday.

Randyn is survived by his parents, Steve and Sherry Groebner of New Ulm; sister, Ashley Groebner of New Ulm; brothers, Korey (Tanya) Groebner and Andrew Groebner both of New Ulm; grandmother, Elsie Sturm of New Ulm; nieces, Erin and Amber Gleisner of New Ulm; his best buddy Anoka; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Irene Groebner; and by his uncles, Tony Groebner , Jerry Groebner, Bernie Groebner, and Steve Sturm.

Randyn Riley Groebner was born November 19, 1986 in New Ulm to Steve and Sherry (Ryan) Groebner, He was a 2005 graduate of New Ulm High School. After high school he was employed at the Holiday Inn and then Kraft Foods. He enjoyed snowboarding, playing guitar, playing drums, four wheeling with his buddy, fishing and the Minnesota Wild and loved hanging out with his friends. Randyn was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm.

Randyn was a kind and gentle man. His smile will never be forgotten. He will always be in our hearts.
