Raymond "Ray" Wolf, 79, of New Ulm died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with Pastor Todd Nelsen officiating. Interment will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 PM Tuesday and 7:30 AM - 1 PM Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Ray is survived by his wife, Artis Wolf of New Ulm; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Andrew Hayes of Maple Grove; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Brenda Wolf of Eden Prairie, Christopher Wolf of New Ulm; a sister, Maralyn Liebsch of St. Paul; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman Wolf of New Ulm, John and Dolores Wolf of Prescott, Arizona, James and Kathie Wolf of Bloomington; sisters-in-law, Ruth Wolf of Delano, Delores Wolf of New Ulm; and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marjorie Wolf; and by his brothers, Roland, Donald and Wallace Wolf.

Raymond Louis Wolf was born March 22, 1932 in New Ulm to Louis and Hertha (Macho) Wolf. Ray attended school in New Ulm and was a 1950 graduate of New Ulm High School. He was united in marriage to Artis Larsen on April 22, 1961 in Mankato. After marriage Ray was employed at the Hauenstein Brewery in New Ulm for 17 years and then for the City of New Ulm for 25 years until he retired in 1997. Ray was a retired member of the New Ulm Fire Department, serving 28 years with the Hook and Ladder Company.
