Robert "Bob" Frederick Griebel was born November 1, 1928, in New Ulm to Oscar and Virginia (Palmer) Griebel.  Growing up in rural New Ulm, Bob was a 1946 graduate from New Ulm High School and furthered his education at the University of Minnesota where he studied agriculture.  Bob was united in marriage to Electa A. Glaser on November 7, 1951, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.  This union blessed the couple with three daughters and two sons whom together they raised on their farm near Searles.  Bob was a dedicated crop and dairy farmer.  He volunteered his time with the ADA, the New Ulm Hub Club, served on the AMPI regional and corporate board, the MN Dairy Promotion Council, the Searles Baseball Board, and was also instrumental in founding the Brown County DHIA.  Bob and Electa enjoyed dancing with friends in the Twist and Twirl Square Dance Club for many years.  Bob was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles.  He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, the deep love he had for his family, his tireless work on the farm, and his fun-loving spirit and sense of humor. A steadfast presence in both his church and his township, Bob's legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the values he passed down. Bob wanted to be remembered for being an honest and faithful man.  His spirit will forever be in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.  Blessed be his memory.
