July 1, 1948 – April 7, 2026
Roger Zamzow, age 77, of Lafayette passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at his home.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon. Pastor Steven Bauer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Gibbon.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes – South Chapel in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2026 at the church.

Roger is survived by his son, Jared Zamzow; daughters, Natasha (Jason) Armstrong, Jennie (Jeff) Moldan, Shannon Zamzow; fifteen grandchildren, Monique, Austin, Dylan, Adelyn, Tyler, Caylie, Chayton, Mason, Kaydince, Jevin, Devlen, Skyler, Ryker, Dalton, Zeke; three great-grandchildren, Koa, Kaiya, Jasper; brothers, Dennis Zamzow, Gary Zamzow; sister-in-law, Sandi Zamzow; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Delsin "Dee" Zamzow; and twin brother, Robert Zamzow.
Roger Ivan Zamzow was born July 1, 1948 to Elmer and Edna (Lagerwall) Zamzow in New Ulm. He was raised and attended school in Gibbon, then enlisted in the United States Army when he came of age. Roger served in Vietnam until he was honorable discharged, where he returned to Gibbon and worked at the elevator. In October of 1976, Roger was united in marriage to Doris Keim in New Ulm. Their union was blessed with five children. In addition to being a husband and father, Roger provided by working at Kraft Foods in New Ulm where he worked on the line and later in the guard shack. His health forced him to retire after seventeen years. In his free time, Roger enjoyed working on his vehicles, riding his motorcycle, welding, planting trees, watching Westerns, and collecting antiques, coins, guns, and knives. He especially enjoyed all the time he was able to spend with his family and his dogs – Annabelle and Patches. Roger will be dearly missed. Blessed be his memory.
