January 23, 1939 – January 27, 2025
Rosemary "Rosy" Anita Becker, age 86 of Madelia died peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Living Meadows at Luther in Madelia. She is now reunited with her loving husband Joseph.
Rosemary is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Pam Masters of Madelia; "grandsons" Michael (Renae) Masters and Nicholas (Zach) Masters; "great grandkids" Grayson and Mia; nephews and niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Masters; her brothers, Fred A., Carl, Richard, and Burton Masters; her sisters, Margaret Sundsvold, Marcella Ingersol, Kay Schuck, Alina Verbraken; several nephews and sister-in-law, Yoshiko Masters.
Rosemary Anita Masters was born January 23, 1939, in Granada, Minnesota to Fred and Rose (Lenz) Masters. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband Joseph Becker on October 15, 1956, in California. The two of them were inseparable during their many years together. Joe and Rosy made many special memories at their home on Big Sandy Lake in McGregor, which was always a favorite gathering spot for family and friends. Rosemary worked as a seamstress for many years and in home health care in McGregor and Madelia. Rosy was a beloved wife, sister, "grandmother," aunt, and sister-in-law. She was known as the glue that held her family together caring for many over the years. As a veracious reader, when she wasn't working, one of her great joys in life was to sit down and relax with a good book and her dog. May her memory forever stay with the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of having Rosy in their lives. Blessed be her memory.
A graveside committal service will take place at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Amboy at a later date.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family with arrangements..
