Rosemary Reinhart, age 98, of Marshall, formerly of New Ulm, died Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Avera Morningside Heights in Marshall.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11am on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, with Father Tanner Thooft celebrating mass. Burial will be in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Sunday, June 21, 2026 and will continue from 9:30-10:30am on Monday, June 22, 2026, both at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH chapel.

The Christian mothers will pray the rosary at 4pm on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Dean) Oftedahl of Pemberton; sons, Greg (Joyce) Reinhart of Marshall, Roger (Ellen) Reinhart of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, George (Karen) Reinhart of Algona, Iowa, Paul (Beth) Reinhart of Cincinnati, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren, one step-grandchild, twenty-six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; daughter, Mary Beth Clasen; and son-in-law, Richard Clasen; brother, Jerome (Colette) Franta.

Rosemary Ann Reinhart was born on July 26, 1927, in St. Peter to Roman and Angela (Mueller) Franta. She attended school in St. Peter through the eighth grade before her family moved to New Ulm. She then attended New Ulm High School, graduating in 1946. On August 31, 1949, Rosemary was united in marriage to James “Jim” Reinhart at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette. Together, they were blessed with six children, whom they raised in the New Ulm area. After dedicating her early years to homemaking and raising her family, Rosemary worked for Farmers Implement, Hy-Vee, and Lindy’s Collection Agency. Rosemary enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including sewing, quilting, fishing, painting baptismal and Easter candles for the church, playing cards and bingo, and tending to her beautiful rose garden. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family. She loved them dearly and was immensely proud of each of them. Following retirement, Rosemary and Jim made their home in Donna, Texas, for more than 20 years. There, they enjoyed a wonderful chapter of life and formed many lasting friendships. In 2017, Rosemary and Jim moved to Marshall, where they spent the remainer of their lives. Rosemary’s faith was of utmost importance to her. She was a longtime member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, where she sang in the choir and was active in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Association and Christian Mothers.

Rosemary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Blessed be her memory.
