Ryan John Busch was born May 4th, 1997 to John and Julie (Ellanson) Busch in New Ulm, MN. He graduated from New Ulm High School and attended South Central College in Mankato, MN.
Ryan was employed at the August Schell Brewing Company doing a job he loved. He was extremely proud to be a brewer and was excited to be a part of creating new beers. Prior to working at Schell's, Ryan worked at the Chankaska Creek Winery in Kasota, MN as a cellar and production assistant.
Ryan's free spirit and big smile would light up a room. His warm, fun-loving personality gained him many, many good friends to whom he was known as "Buschy". Ryan could start up a conversation with anyone, no matter their age. By the time the conversation was over, he had made another friend. If you were lucky enough to know Ryan, you knew you had a true friend. He had a special gift of bringing people together which has become even more apparent after his passing.
Sports were a big part of Ryan's life. He started playing hockey, baseball and football at an early age. Some of his greatest memories were made at hockey and baseball tournaments. Hockey was always Ryan's true passion; he was an avid fan and player. One of his proudest moments was making it to the State High School Hockey Tournament with the New Ulm Eagles. The bonds he made with his teammates had never been broken. He remained active playing in area men's hockey leagues and he never missed a MN Wild game. Ryan also loved golfing, skiing, fishing, traveling, concerts, and going to Vikings and Wild games.
Ryan is survived by his parents, John and Julie Busch; brother, Nick Busch; grandmother, Leatrice Ellanson; Godchild, Nalah Kienlen; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Duane Ellanson, Richard and Catherine Busch; aunt, Angie Ellanson; cousins, Andrea Busch and Cole Rabbitt.
Ryan left us too soon, but he lived his short life to the fullest, never missing good times with friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
"Prost" Buschy – you will be forever missed and, in our hearts, always.
