GIBBON

Sandra Goodman-Graunke, 53, of Gibbon died Wednesday, December 28 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3 at the Clear Lake Baptist Church in rural Gibbon with Reverend Ramon Flores officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Tuesday.

Sandra is survived by her husband, David Graunke of Gibbon; father, Reverend Dennis Goodman of New Hope; daughters and son-in-law, Niccole and Rob Plahn of Brooklyn Park, Alexis Graunke of Brooklyn Park; step-son, Daniel Wolsfeld of Fargo, North Dakota; grandchildren, Noah and Lily Plahn of Brooklyn Park; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Charles Stark of Gibbon, Karen and John Martinez of Champlin, Diane and Richard Wacker of Gibbon; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Barbara Goodman of Maple Grove. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lelia M. Goodman

Sandra Jean Goodman was born on July 1, 1958 in Oakland, Nebraska to Reverend Dennis and Lelia (Bentley) Goodman. She graduated from Cooper High School with the class of 1975. After high school, she attended Mankato State University where she studied psychology. She also studied and worked in drafting at McQuay in Minneapolis. On August 3, 1991, Sandra was united in marriage to David Graunke in Akeley, Minnesota. Sandra worked as an administrator for the Minnesota Valley Action Council, an office administrator for Ankers in Gibbon, and as a fabricator for Acrylic Unlimited in Belle Plaine until disability forced her to retire. She was a member of Clear Lake Baptist Church in rural Gibbon and the North American Fishing Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, fishing, animals, bird watching, camping, camp fires, playing board and card games, baking, entertaining, and spending time with friends and family.
