Sandra "Sandy" Suess, age 75, of New Ulm, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with Father Gerald Meidl celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.

Sandy is survived by her children: Rebecca (Jeremy) Pieper; Robert (Leah) Suess; Scott Suess; Mark (Rachel) Suess; and Thomas (Heidi) Suess; ten grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Gary Gleisner, Sue and Bob McAdams, Lori and Troy Parsons, Loran and Chris Suess, and Duane Suess.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; her sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Ronald Fischer; her sister-in-law, Denise Suess; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Erwin and Monica (Spaeth) Suess.
Sandy was born on August 12, 1950, in New Ulm to Fred and Lorraine (Heinen) Meyer. She attended New Ulm Cathedral School and graduated in 1968. On June 10, 1969, she was united in marriage to David Suess at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Searles and Hanska area.
Sandy was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She worked for many years at Hy-Vee as well as at Edelweiss Flower Haus and Brown's Music before her retirement. In her free time, Sandy enjoyed stamping, knitting, crocheting, and listening to old-time music. She especially cherished day trips and meeting friends for breakfast. Blessed be her memory.
