Sharon Byro, age 63 of New Ulm, died peacefully at her home in New Ulm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 with her family by her side.

Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sharon Kay Ammerman was born July 12, 1961 in Altoona, PA to Fred and Roberta (Folkes) Ammerman. She lived in Altoona until the age of 12, when her family moved to Phoenix, AZ. She grew up and lived there until the age of 30 when she moved to Minnesota. Sharon raised her three children, Craig Ammerman, Brittany Bradshaw, and Michelle Byro in New Ulm. Sharon was a nurse at various places, her favorite being in home health care. She was a dedicated and caring nurse. Sharon enjoyed spending time in nature; biking, walking, the mountains, and camping. She kept strong in her faith with Jesus and studied his scripture frequently. Family was everything to Sharon. She loved visiting her brothers in Arizona and any time she was able to spend with her kids and grandkids. They were her world and they will miss her dearly. Blessed be her memory.
