Sharon is survived by her husband of over 48 years, Dennis "DJ" Leppla of New Ulm; sister, Jean Holland of rural New Ulm; brother, Warren Holland of New Ulm; her loving cats, Taffy and Clifford; and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon Marie Holland was born July 9, 1954 in Minneapolis. She was adopted by Ronald and Betty (Nelson) Holland and relocated to New Ulm. Sharon graduated from New Ulm Public High School and attended college at Minnesota State University, Mankato, as well as took summer courses at Martin Luther College in New Ulm. Sharon worked for H.S.I. in New Ulm as a care professional and, later, as a supervisor.
On May 4, 1974, Sharon was united in marriage to Dennis James Leppla at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. The couple stayed very active in the Jaycee's and JCI groups. They especially enjoyed all the convention committee's they were chair members of and all the friends they made from attending and organizing the events. Many fond memories were made at Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, and National Jaycee conventions Sharon and DJ went to together. Sharon also had an abundance of love for all her "fur babies" that she and Dennis had over the years.
Sharon will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
