Thomas Armund Scheibel was born July 7, 1942, in New Ulm to Armund and Viola (Hillesheim) Scheibel.  He attended grade school at St. John the Baptist Catholic school in Searles.   Early in life, Tom worked on the family farm before starting his long career with Walner Construction of New Ulm.  Tom diligently worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and eventually retired from M&R Paving in 2008.  On July 21, 1988, Tom was united in marriage to Doris Helget at the Schell's Brewery Garden.  The couple made their home in New Ulm where Tom worked, and at the end of day enjoyed going for a ride on his Honda Goldwing.  To socialize, Tom caught up with friends and neighbors for breakfast at Hy-Vee nearly every day.  He was a member of the Shadow Motorcycle Club and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Although Tom's passing seems unexpected to most, countless cherished memories will forever stay in the minds of those who knew him best.  Blessed be those memories.
