Werner Reinhart, 89, of New Ulm died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The St. John's Catholic Aid will pray the rosary at 10:05 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Searles.
Werner is survived by his wife, Adelia Reinhart of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and James Wellmann of Hanska; sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Rita Reinhart of New Ulm, Gerald and Dorothy Reinhart of Palmer, Alaska; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Reinhart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Quidella and John Kuck, Hildegard and George Kuck, Marie and Leander Schmidt.
Werner Joseph Reinhart was born on October 26, 1921 in New Ulm to Hubert and Isabella (Huelskamp) Reinhart. On August 24, 1948 he was united in marriage to Adelia Stueber at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles. He farmed in Cottonwood Township, Brown County and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Werner was a member of the St. John's parish in Searles, Catholic Order of Foresters and the St. John's Catholic Aid Society. He served on the Cottonwood Township board as treasurer, the Sigel Creamery board and the Searles Baseball Association. MVFH.org.
