Obituary

Rhonda Niebuhr, 62, of Gaylord died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington with Father Berger Celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at a later date at the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Long Prairie. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, NORTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm and will continue on Tuesday for one hour prior to the time of service at the church in Arlington.

Rhonda is survived by her husband Elver Niebuhr of Gaylord, daughters Cassidy Noble (fiancé Mark Skluzacek) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jaclyn (Lee) Hilgers of Arlington, Patricia Noble of St. Pete Beach, Florida, Tricia (Mark) Lancaster of North Mankato; sons, Justin (Jenna) Niebuhr of St. Charles, Missouri, Jared Niebuhr of Hopkins; ten grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl (Jim) Grobe of Lake City, Marie Wicks of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Ev (Jeri) Niebuhr of Richfield, Mark (Elizabeth) Niebuhr of Gibbon, Muril (Donna Mae) of Zumbrota, and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rhonda Jean Minke, the daughter of Clarence and Velma (Dinkel) Minke was born on January 26, 1952 in Long Prairie. She was a 1970 graduate of the Long Prairie High School and a 1995 graduate of MSU-Mankato with a degree in accounting. Rhonda had worked for Sibley County holding various positions for the 25 years she worked there. She also did accounting work during tax season for H & R Block for over 15 years. Rhonda retired in 2007. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Gaylord where she was also a member of the singing group, "Michael's Angels" at church and a member of the "Shades of Harmony" singing group. Rhonda was a past girl scout leader and a cheerleading coach. She was an avid cross stitcher, and enjoyed camping, putting puzzles together, hiking and walking.
