Kenneth Vincent Kent was born March 19, 1922 in New Ulm to Sigfred and Cecelia (Holmgren) Kent. He graduated from Gibbon High School and attended college at Gustavus Adolphus College before serving in the U.S. Air Force. After his time in the service, Kenny moved to Chicago where he studied photography. He later moved to California where he owned and operated a service station for over twenty years. While in California he Kenny operated a food catering truck service named Ken's Koffee Koach. Kenny had a variety of unique hobbies and passions in life including photography and flying. He built and flew his own planes cross country many times. He eventually retired to Minnesota to be closer to family. Kenny had a great desire to bring a smile to everyone's face. This passion was shown in his retirement when Kenny joined the Hutchinson Clown Club. He would not only entertain at his own grandchildren's birthdays, but would also bring joy to others in hospitals and wherever he was asked. Kenny truly enjoyed life and those who knew him were blessed. Kenny's greatest joy in life was the time he got to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon where he was active in the church choir and men's choir.
