Rachel Scoville, 65, of New Ulm died Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.
Funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday, October 29, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Timothy Anderson officiating. Burial will be 2 PM Friday, October 30, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Two Harbors.
Visitation will be 9:30 – 10:30 AM Thursday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Rachel is survived by her son, Richard (Lisa) of Fort Collins, Colorado; sisters, Jayne Dueffert of Blackduck, Kathy (Jerry) Wegner of New Ulm; a brother, James Lenning of Virginia; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy Scoville; and by her brothers-in-law, James Stradtman and Duane Dueffert.
Rachel Ann Lenning was born October 14, 1950 in Triumph to Reuben Luverne and Norma (Malott) Lenning. She lived in rural Monterey until moving with her family to Hoyt Lakes. Rachel was a 1968 graduate of Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School. She was employed as a CNA in Two Harbors and as a custodian at MRCI in New Ulm. Rachel enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, painting, walking and spending time with family and friends.
Rachel was an extraordinary person who loved and was loved by many. We will miss her every day. Keep on rejoicing in Heaven Rachel Angel.
