Jane Mary Bergeman, daughter of Oliver and Ruth (Mossengren) Wolner, was born on November 2, 1936 in Butterfield. She was baptized on Jan. 3, 1937 at Kansas Lake Church, Butterfield and confirmed May 1951 at Augustana Lutheran Church, St. James. Jane was a graduate from St. James Public School in 1954. On March 27th, 1955 she was united in marriage to Loren Bergeman at Augustana Lutheran Church in St. James. They farmed in rural Madelia following their marriage. Jane enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, especially apple pies and sweets, spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and having coffee on her porch swing. Jane worked at Madelia Public Schools as a cook for many years. She enjoyed the children and loved watching her Madelia grandchildren go through the lunch line.

She is survived by her children, Tim (Terise) Bergeman of Madelia, Terry Bergeman of Madelia, Nancy (Todd) Schwartz of Urbandale, Iowa, Jody (Chris) Arduser of Madelia: sisters and brothers, Joyce Wolner, Gene Wolner, Joan Bagley, Gary Wolner, Richard Wolner, Stephen Wolner, Mark Wolner and Becky Schmidt, special brother and sister-in laws, nieces and nephews and dear beloved friends.
