NEW ULM
Florence V. Mohr, age 91, of New Ulm, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Ridgeway on German.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Monsignor Douglas Grams will celebrate the Mass, burial will take place in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue from 9:30-10:30 am on Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-North Chapel in New Ulm.
The Christian Mother's will pray the rosary at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Cathedral.

Florence is survived by her sons, Patrick (Deanna) Mohr, of Hanska, and John (Bonnie) Mohr, of Glencoe; nine grandchildren, Jared (Mallory) Mohr, Aaron (Tina Hoeben) Mohr, Michael (Kelly) Mohr, Carrie (Riley Ahlness) Mohr, Amanda (Jacob Jordan) Mohr, Katelyn (Jeff) Keenan, Taylor Mohr, Jacob Mohr and Zachary Mohr; three great-grandchildren, Carlila Schlumpberger, Caeli Schlumpberger, and Elliott (Leo) Mohr; a sister, Marion (Kenneth) Havemeier; brothers, Wallace (Louise) Guggisberg and Robert (JoAnn) Guggisberg; sisters-in-law, Joanne Guggisberg and Irene Schwartz; brothers-in-law, Allen (Judy) Mohr, T. Hilary (Elizabeth) Mohr, and James Larson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence on October 22, 2014; her son, Thomas on November 9, 1989; her parents; a sister, Esther Schaefer; and her brothers, Melvin, Harold and Richard Guggisberg.
Florence Veronica Guggisberg was born on November 7, 1926, to Louis and Viola (Boettger) Guggisberg in Sigel Township. Florence was united in marriage to Clarence Mohr on November 19, 1946, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Sigel Township until 1956, and then moved to Lake Hanska Township, where they retired. For the past two years, Florence was a resident at Ridgeway on German. Florence enjoyed 63 years of marriage with Clarence. She was a full-time homemaker who enjoyed farming with her husband. Florence took great pride in her bountiful vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards with neighbors and friends, raised chickens, ducks and geese, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Florence was well known for her schmierkuchen and apple kuchens. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Christian Mother's Society and Catholic United.
