Jennifer was a devoted friend, a loving mother, a dedicated sister, a proud Oma, and an extraordinary life partner. She spent most of her life caring for other people, being a free therapist to anyone who needed it. She worked many jobs in her life, but one of her favorite and most memorable was her work in assisted living group homes. She cared for residents as if they were her own family, and created beautiful bonds with each of her clients.

Jennifer spent a lot of time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed spoiling them with treats, toys, and unwavering love. She enjoyed traveling with her partner, Steve. They would take trips throughout the year, mostly to various places in Minnesota, but she always enjoyed the travel. She wanted to see more of the world and always wished to see Costa Rica. She had a love of animals, specifically sea turtles and sloths. She always wanted to swim with a sea turtle, and got the opportunity to pet a sloth, which she claimed were her spirit animals.

Her daughter fondly remembers when her and her brother (Quinn) would lay in bed for hours with Jennifer and tell stories of the Greek gods and magical lands. She was a fantastic story teller, because she had a lot stories to tell. The greatest story of all was the story of her life, and anyone who had the honor of being on a page of her book, should feel grateful for that.

Jennifer is survived by her life partner, Steven Diener of New Ulm; daughter, Madylan Diener and son, Dakota Diener, both of Mankato.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Dylan and Quinn Diener.

Jennifer Jo Wimmergren was born on July 5, 1969 in Minneapolis and adopted to Dean Wimmergren & Rose (Abram) Wimmergren.
