Mae Carol Johnson was born December 28, 1933 in New Ulm to Carl and Evelyn (Armstrong) Johnson.  She grew up in Hanska, Minnesota where she was a resident her entire life.  She was a 1952 graduate from Hanska High School.  On June 18, 1952, she married the love of her life, Donald Olson, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska where she was a lifelong member.  To this union was born a son and a daughter.  Mae was an above average cook and baker.  She loved cooking for her family and sharing her baked goods with others.  Mae worked in numerous restaurants in Hanska, and was the cook at Hanska School until her retirement.  She was a patient and loving care giver to Don until his passing on August 12, 2018.  Mae and Don enjoyed their winters in Texas and spent numerous summers fishing on Lake Osakis.  Mae loved having coffee with the ladies and enjoyed watching Hallmark and Mollie B's Fun Time Polka.  Don and Mae were beautiful dancers and are now dancing across Heaven together.  Mae was truly the heart of her family and was held above all else.  She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.  Blessed be her memory.
