Obituary

Randy Herzog, 62, of New Ulm died Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with Father Gerald Meidl celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 PM Tuesday and 9 - 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.

Randy  is survived by his wife Debbra (Domeier) Herzog; daughter, Amy (Mike) Suess; sons, Ryan (Becky) Herzog, and Jonathon (Jessica) Herzog; grandchildren, Jessica Herzog, Brice Blake, Tara Blake, Joshua Blake, Madison Herzog, and Samual Herzog; great-grandchildren, Jayce Thomas, Maleah Thomas, and Ella Thomas; brothers, Mark Herzog, Rick Herzog, and Timothy Herzog.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Greg Herzog.

Randall Lee Herzog was born on August 31, 1957 in New Ulm to Richard and Lorraine (Dittrich) Herzog. On August 28, 1982, he married Debbra Domeier and the couple had three children. Randy worked various jobs to provide for his family, including; Kraft, K&R Towing, carpentry and as a fishing guide. He belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Randy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many hunting, fishing, and golfing trips, trap shooting, bowling, playing pool and cards with friends, and fantasy football. One of his favorite things in life was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy, and going to places like Breezy Point or the zoo.

Randy was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and friend who was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Blessed be his memory.
